Description: 

The work (“Work”) is the replacement of Culvert 5, located in the Township of East Garafraxa (“Owner”), on 10th Line approximately 0.65 km South of Dufferin County Road 5 (“Place of the Work”).

The Work includes:

  • Removal of existing 4.5 m span, 32 m long corrugated steel pipe arch (CSPA) Culvert;

  • Installation of a new, 33.522 m long, 5.486 m span x 3.048 m rise precast concrete box culvert;

  • Replacement of two CSP road crossing culverts with proposed 450 mm diameter HDPE culverts;

  • Management of the watercourse during construction to allow Work to be completed in‑the‑dry;

  • Approximately 75 m of roadworks, including excavation, granular placement, and installation of new Geo-Web slope reinforcement along northwest and southeast embankments; 

  • Salvaging, reinstating, and adjusting sections of existing guide rail; 

  • Installation of new guide rail; and

  • Restoration of the site upon completion of the Work.
